Expanding information and knowledge

Science expands the limits of our knowledge and allows us to better understand our world and make reliable predictions about it. Rigurous quantitative research is a powerful tool to address specific questions and provide robust and testable models that can lead us to the answers. Adequate implementation of research policies and a good use of available funding schemes can foster the development of science and lead to a blooming of results.

AsiaOriental has been involved in interdisciplinary scientific research for over ten years, in areas such as computing, mass data processing and analysis, knowledge generation and management, as well as the study of research policies and the management of science.

Generating and managing innovation

Innovation is usually defined as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs. We understand innovation as the way to provide new solutions to current needs, based on our previously generated experience and knowledge. We are devoted to information technologies and process innovation to identify the most efficient framework, procedures and techniques to carry out our projects.

AsiaOriental has developed innovative solutions to create, store and share information, to develop world-wide collaborative work, to process huge amounts of information (such as the generated by scientifc experiments) and to manage complex projects.

International scientific collaboration

International scientific collaboration between China and developed nations has increased both in volume and importance. Research funding programmes such as the European Framework Programme (now Horizon 2020) and Chinese funding programmes of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and other funding bodies allow universities and research institutes to form consortia and develop joint research projects.

AsiaOriental has a wide experience in the preparation of collaborative research proposals, the implementation of international scientific and technological projects and the management of science funding, both in Europe and China.
